Catalog

Orderable tests, panels, pricing and laboratory code mappings.

What Catalog owns

  • One canonical Catalog per workspace: orderable tests and panels, specimen, turnaround, preparation and pricing.
  • Mappings: the link between a Solia orderable and your laboratory's own order code.
  • Expected biomarkers: each test is linked to entries in the canonical biomarker registry. Marker counts, the edit view and the consumer Catalog all read that one relationship; free text never creates a biomarker.

Catalog supports adding items individually and importing in bulk. Unmapped items are surfaced as catalog health, because an unmapped orderable cannot be fulfilled reliably.

Lifecycle

  • Active — available for ordering where Fulfillment and clinical policy allow.
  • Paused — retained and visible in the current Catalog but not orderable. A paused test that is missing a required detail offers Complete setup instead of Make available.
  • Archived — retained for history and hidden from the current Catalog; it can be restored.
  • Delete — permanently removes only a test that has never been used; the server decides, and a used test must be archived instead.
  • Duplicate — copies reusable details and biomarker selections but never the laboratory code mapping, so the copy stays incomplete until a unique code is supplied.

Important

Consumer surfaces use only currently storefront-eligible tests: active, visible and available. Paused, archived, hidden or historical rows never count toward storefront inventory.
