Diagnostic Programs

What a Diagnostic Program governs and how its states differ.

On this page

What a Program governs

  • Performing laboratory
  • Approved tests and panels, and Program pricing
  • Geography and serviceability, collection methods and specimen requirements
  • Provider authorization, clinical workflow and additional ordering requirements
  • API client grants and webhook/event access
  • Commercial rules, environment and readiness

Distinct states

  • Configured — the Program exists canonically with its configuration.
  • Approved — the laboratory has approved and enabled it.
  • Sandbox ready — an active Sandbox grant and validated Sandbox evidence exist.
  • Production ready — every Production readiness requirement is evidenced.
  • Live — Production operation is active for that Program.

Important

These states are never collapsed into a single generic status. Program state and credential state are shown separately.
